Me outside of work:

I work in and on virtual reality, but in the real world, you’ll find me biking to work (unless it's raining). When I'm not navigating digital landscapes, I'm out discovering odd little spots with bizarre collections and stories to inspire silly comic strips I fill idle moments with.
Used to scuba dive and mountain bike, now I boulder and kiteboard when I can get to a body of water big enough. Used to play tennis, now I play squash. Used to study history in college, now its seems I only study the future. I cook Blue Apron every night. Enjoy a good deal of chaos, but nothing beats a timely meal. Used to do event photography for comedy shows, now I doodle cheesy comic strips on a digital sketchpad, or Pokémon cards for my nephews. Basically, I like trying things, seeing where they take me, and adapting along the way.
Stories are my fuel—books, games, deep conversations. If I can’t find a great book, I’ll lose myself in a game with a strong narrative. I go to church but find the best moments in one-on-one talks about scripture.
Still trying to solve the great puzzle of "how to have a dog while working 8 hours a day," so for now, I volunteer at a shelter when the dog cravings hit.
Acknowledge my flaws. Often do things wrong the first time, but trying again and again has often been a saving grace for me. Think too frequently about the significance of existence, but counter it through the joy of good friendships, reflection on gratitude, and faith.
Have two parents, and two older sisters. Am the baby. Close emotionally, far locationally.
Pay my taxes, and am lucky enough to have a solid crew of friends—some from college, some at work, some scattered across Ohio and North Carolina. Life’s good, but it’s always better with great people and a few new adventures. Probably had ChatGPT help me write this.
